10月のお稽古最終週は 炉点前で!Last week of October, we opened our ro.

11月の炉開きには少し早いのですが、都合により風炉から炉に替えて薄茶運び点前のお稽古をしました。
炉開き恒例の『ぜんざい』を作って皆さんに食べていただきました。
軸は『和敬清寂』。
あっという間の一年でした。11月からは京都からの便りをお届けします。
It is a little early for robiraki (sunken fire place for winter months usually reserved for November to April), but we started our ro-demae practice.
When we open ro, Sensei served ritual Zenzai (sweet bean soup) enjoyed by all.
The kanji on the scroll was wa kei sei jaku (harmony, respect, purity and tranquility – the four most important elements of tea ceremony).
It was such a quick year, but we enjoyed so many great events this year. Thanks to everyone for practicing and participating in events and weekly practice.
 
From November to March, Soujun Sensei will spend her time in Kyoto and send us her experiences and news from Japan. We look forward to hearing her new story!
