先日わが家の茶室『純心庵』を訪問された陶芸家がご自身の作品、お抹茶茶碗を１０個置いて行かれました。お抹茶をお茶室で飲まれたのは初めてというのに、抹茶茶碗を製作されているのには驚かせられます。抹茶茶碗にしては多少小さ目のものもありますが、飲み口も丁度良い厚さですし、重すぎずお茶をいただくのには最適の量感です。お値段は$３５〜＄１００です。＊＊＊お稽古に来られた時にどうぞ、ご覧ください。 A local potter who visited our Junshin-an  last month brought and left ten handmade tea bowls. これからアメリカは紫陽花の綺麗な季節です。お茶のお稽古用に紫陽花の和菓子を作ってみました。中は白餡、外側の花びらは、紫陽花のもつ繊細で涼しげな色と光が表せるよう淡い赤、青、紫の小さく切った寒天を使いました。季節の和菓子を愛でていただくのも、お茶の席の楽しみの一つです。 Because of the beautiful hydrangeas in July in Missouri, we created special hydrangeas wagashi (Japanese sweets). もうすぐ７月です。コロナでStay home していたら、あっという間に夏が来てしまいました！さて、またまた自主練習しました。今月一杯は炉でお稽古します。四ケ伝の台天目のお点前です。 掛物は蓮の葉と実の水墨画の色紙です。倉敷の水墨画家　故 藤原りょう（木偏に右側のつくりは四の下に方）山（ざん）の手に成るものです。義理の叔父にあたる人です。花は桔梗。庭から切って鶴首に挿しておいたところ、１時間ほどでしおれてしまいました。慌てて横にして水の中に浸してあげたら、また元通り瑞々しくなりました。野に咲く花は水揚げが悪いので、このようにしてあげたら良いとお華の先生から教わりました。 Hard to believe it’s already July!
