ご家族とお元気で新年をお迎えのことと思います。さあ、新しい年も茶の道に精進してまいりましょう。
1月7日は友人から招かれて、本格的な茶事が出来る大阪の貸し茶室での初釜を体験してきました。お道具すべてが借りられ、本格的な茶懐石を提供してくれる場所は中々ありません。店主の親戚の方がお茶道具を始め骨董蒐集の趣味があり、それらのお道具を使わせていただけるのです。利休作の茶杓は、使われて黒光りしていましたし水指は後漢の時代のもの。楽茶碗は旦入、慶入、覚入等等楽家歴代のものばかり、目の保養とともに本物で飲むお茶は、また格別でした。茶室内はカメラを持ち込めないので、待合の欄間や躙口付近の写真のみですみません。

On January 7th, I attended a hatsugama hosted by my friend at a rented tearoom in Osaka. It is rare to find such a tearoom where you can enjoy the kaiseki-style meal and rent various tea utencils. The owner of the tearoom has a relative who owns an extensive collection of tea utensils and antiques, most of which are valuable originals. We used a shiny black chashaku made by Rikyu and mizuhashi from the Later Han dynasty. The raku tea bowls used were handcrafted by the successive generations of the Raku family. It was a real pleasure to see these treasures and drink tea using them. Unfortunately, photos were prohibited, so here are outside photos of the tearoom.
