Last Saturday, on July 7th, we practiced “unohana-temae” with viewing tools – a basic method for making tea by using a tea-box. There were unohana (white flower) for the summer season, tsuki (moon) for autumn, yuki (snow) for winter, hana (Cherry Blossom) for spring and so on in a chabako temae (the procedure of using a tea-box). This is a graceful part of chanoyu, enjoying each procedure to admire each season.
