日本祭が終わって一週間はお稽古はお休みして、ゆっくりと疲れをとることが出来ました。
秋のお点前、茶箱の月点前をお稽古しました。
茶箱の中でも器据え、火箸、香合、小羽根、ウグイスなどのお道具が総出のお点前。
箱のふたに、小羽根を置き、その下にまあるい香合を置くとまるで、雲間に満月が出たような景色になります。
ややこしいお点前ですが、風流で、繊細な月点前に感動です。
After the Japan Festival, we took a week off from tea practice, which gave us a chance to rest and recharge.
When we returned, we practiced an autumn temae—the Chabako Tsuki-demae (Moon procedure from the tea box).
Among the chabako procedures, this one calls for a full array of utensils: the kizue stand, fire chopsticks, incense container, feather, a stand for whisk(nightingale) , and more.
When you place the small feather on the lid of the box, with the round incense container just beneath it, it creates the image of a full moon peeking through the clouds.
It’s a rather intricate temae, but I was deeply moved by its elegance and refinement—so delicate and full of poetry.
