日本滞在中はしばらくブログを掲載できずにいましたが、また再開です。
桜の美しい季節の４月５日のお茶会をゲストの方々もとても楽しみにしてくださっていました。
ところが前々日から降り続いていた雨が止まず、水屋が野外の長野庵でのお茶会は不可能なため、我が家の純心庵に場所を変更しました。
植物園内の長野庵でのお茶会を楽しみにしていてくださったゲストの方々のキャンセルが相次ぎ、少人数でのお茶会となりましたが、手製の桜餅とお抹茶をこじんまりと楽しみました。
I wasn’t able to update my blog while I was in Japan, but now I’m back to posting again.
Our tea gathering on April 5th, during the beautiful cherry blossom season, was something our guests had been looking forward to.
However, the rain that had been falling since two days prior didn’t let up, and it became impossible to hold the tea gathering at Nagano-an, the outdoor tea house with the mizuya (preparation area).
So, we moved the venue to Junshin-an, our tea room at home.
Several guests who had been excited about the tea gathering at Nagano-an in the botanical garden unfortunately canceled, so the event ended up being a small gathering.
Still, we enjoyed a cozy time together with homemade sakura mochi and matcha.
