私がアメリカの自宅で15年前にお茶を教え始めた時からの男性生徒さんと２年前からお稽古に来られるようになった女性が、この度結婚されました！
私の子供と同年代の彼に人生を共に出来る良き伴侶ができますようにと、この１５年間いつもいつも念じていたところ、本当に素敵な日本女性と巡り合えることが出来ました。二人の愛を育んできた場所の一つが私のお教室であったことがうれしくてたまりません。
私が日本へ発つ前の日曜日、お茶の仲間たちとささやかなお祝いのパーティを開きました。
お茶で培った思いやりの心を以って、末永くお幸せに！
A male student, who has been studying tea with me since I started teaching at my home in the U.S. 15 years ago, and a woman who started coming to my classes two years ago, have just gotten married! I had always hoped that this young man, who is about the same age as my own children, would find a wonderful partner to spend his life with. I am overjoyed to see that he has met such a wonderful Japanese woman. I am so happy that one of the places where their love blossomed was my tea class.
The Sunday before I left for Japan, I held a small celebration party with their tea friends. I wish them a lifetime of happiness with the compassion and care they cultivated through tea.
